Innovation center’s baby warmer “Nyano Nani” bags People’s Choice Award in US
The National Innovation Center led by Mahavir Pun has won ‘People’s Choice Award’ in an exhibition in the US for its Baby Warmer Machine.
The Baby Warmer Machine made by the engineers of Nepal’s National Innovation Center won the People’s Choice Award at the Bio Medical Equipment Innovation Exhibition held by North East Ohio Medical University in America.
The US Embassy is said to have denied visas to the engineers of the National Innovation Center of Nepal, however the National Invention Center managed to send the bio-medical equipment “Baby Warmer” by cargo and ironically the same Baby Warmer made in Nepal won the People’s Choice award in the US. The visa barrier of the embassy did not stop the will power and enthusiasm of the the engineers of the Innovation Center.
The engineers of the Innovation Center participated in the exhibition via Zoom from Nepal. Also, the medical students of the same university helped to distribute leaflets about the equipment to the audience and also gave detailed information as far as they knew. Dr. Damodar Paudel, Dr. Sanju Mahato, Prashant Manandhar and the president of the Innovation Center were present at the exhibition.
