Name and Logo of Third Investment Summit made public
The third investment summit scheduled to be held on Baisakh 16 and 17 (April 28 and 29) in Kathmandu has been made public with the logo “Emerging Nepal Investment Summit-2024” as informed by the summit Secretariat.
During the second meeting of the Investment Summit Steering Committee, information was provided by the Joint Secretary of the Secretariat and the spokesperson of the Investment Board, regarding the logo of the investment summit.
For the organization of the investment summit, various committees have been formed of which the Steering committee under the coordination of the Finance Minister, the Implementation Committee under the coordination of the Chief Secretary,and The Technical Committee under the coordination of the Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Supplies. The Investment Summit Secretariat is under the coordination of the Chief Executive Officer of the Investment Board.
A task force has been formed to recommend legal reforms for the investment summit, which has proposed amendments to various dozen laws and regulations. A suggestion team formed under the coordination of the Secretary of the Prime Minister’s Office for Economic and Infrastructure Sector has prepared its report for policy, structural, and procedural improvements.
Preparatory work for the summit is underway. The office of the Investment Board had organized a workshop titled “Identification of Investment Potential and Coordinated Strategy for Economic Development in Nepal” last Friday.
