Young Nepalese employed in Hong Kong Procure Ambulance Providing Free Services for Village

A group of young individuals hailing from Urlabari, Morang, currently employed in Hong Kong, have taken a commendable initiative by procuring an ambulance for their village, citing existing challenges with the local ambulance services. Following the purchase, the ambulance has been transferred and is now operational, offering complimentary services to families in need within the village.

A total of ninety-four youths from Urlabari, who are currently working in Hong Kong, came together and managed to raise Rs. 2,500,000 in funds under the banner of Urlabari Municipality-9 for the acquisition of the ambulance. Subsequently, with the necessary funds collected, the provision of free ambulance service has been inaugurated specifically for distressed families residing in Ward No. 9.

This ambulance, mentioned above, is being operated under the supervision of the Durgapuri Sub-Health Post of Urlabari Municipality-9. According to Nar Bahadur Moktan, the Ward Chairperson, a systematic approach has been devised to ensure that free ambulance services are provided to families in distress. This includes issuing introduction letters and extending a 20% discount on ambulance services to others in need.

Moreover, Moktan emphasizes that the municipality will take responsibility for managing the fuel expenses incurred during the provision of free ambulance services to distressed families. Notably, an individual named Yamssembu, who is currently in Hong Kong overseeing the ambulance purchase, has single-handedly managed to collect Rs. 530,000. It is reported that this substantial amount was actively collected within the Sanghehang-Tumbahamfe area.
